Rotarian Dr. Stephan Nix, dean of the College of Engineering at Texas A&M-Kingsville, presented the program at the Noon Rotary Club last week. He spoke on the TAMUK engineering project in Belize in December and the work with the International Institute of Cultures and Languages in Belize, headed up by TAMUK alum, Dr. Elsa Porter. The project gave the students a chance for international travel and relations. Another group will go to Belize in May. Five of the TAMUK students who went to Belize in December attended the meeting. Left to right are Austin Jurica, Lydon Kinsley, Belize Ellison, Nix, Jorge Torres and Matthew Garberding.
