Bring Back Sarita / Baffin Rain Garden Event
 John Holmgreen is a Rotarian with The Rotary Club of Corpus Christi. He will tell us about their project to bring back the Sarita / Baffin Rain Garden and event planned for May 13.
The Sarita Rain Garden is 1 of the 1285 grants, totaling $82M for the fiscal year 2023-24. For this project, The Rotary Club of Corpus Christi is partnering with 7 Rotary clubs and 5 Rotary districts in 4 countries. This project is unusual in that it is here in the United States instead of a foreign country.
The environment is the newest area of focus for Rotary. We have 7: Basic education and literacy; Community economic development; Disease prevention and treatment; Maternal and child health; Peace building and conflict prevention; Water sanitation and hygiene; as well as Environment.

RYLA 2025
 Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is an intensive leadership experience organized by Rotary clubs and districts where older teens develop their skills as a leader while having fun and making connections. Rotary Kingsville sends at least two local youth each year. We will hear about their experiences this year. |
